Description
This coastal dirt bike jump poster is entirely airborne: a rider extended off the back of the machine at the top of a jump, with cliffs, beach and a cloudy sky underneath and nothing supporting either of them.
The extended position is deliberate and not a loss of control. Letting the body trail behind the bike changes the machine’s attitude in the air, which is how a rider adjusts where the landing happens once the wheels have already left the ground. It looks like a mistake and is the opposite of one.

Height is the point, so this is one of the few frames here that is better hung portrait and high, with space above it rather than below. On a stairwell wall or a tall narrow return it does what the photograph does. Crowded in at eye level between other frames, it loses the drop.
